The Bavubuka Guitar Starz Project

This annual program, led by musician and renowned guitar technician Brian Gibney (REM, Ray Lamontagne) and partner Leah Nance, will engage participants in a two week long workshop where they will learn to play six to ten songs of their choice on acoustic guitars.  This program will conclude with a collaborative performance with The Bavubuka All*Starz Music Program and the neighboring brass band program The Baculi Boys.  Participants will exit the program with their own guitar and the ability to play and teach basic guitar skills.  This start date of this program was November 17th and with guitars already being donated we are well on our way to making this program active in 2009.
