Food is about more than what’s on the plate, and cooking together is more than food. It’s also about who’s at the table and why they’ve come together. We believe that cooking and eating together hold power. The kind of power that connects people and reduces social isolation. The Ubuntu Table brings children, families, and adults together to learn healthy food skills and build community through monthly workshops and gatherings. Good food brings people together, so our goal is to build programming around good food. We hope to strengthen bonds as we build food skills and share meals. All workshops are opportunities for hands-on food preparation with specific menus and goals in mind. Whether trying new recipes, experimenting with fresh ingredients or learning to cook on a budget - Our workshops include cross-cultural and seasonal cooking. All are welcome to join! Ubuntu Celebrations: Join us for monthly special celebrations and community events. Check the calendar to see what is happening this month! Come and join the celebration, meet new and old friends as we break bread and celebrate one another.
